Ginger-Lime Spritzer
About this Recipe
By: Rachel
During the festive season, many of us partake in alcoholic beverages… sometimes, to a touch of excess.
Dry January began in 2012, conceptualized by Alcohol Change UK as a way to change the conversation around alcohol consumption. Research has shown that taking even a short break from alcohol can encourage people to become more conscious about their drinking.

Whether or not you choose to drink alcohol, a sweet, cold beverage can enhance your meal and serve as a “pick me up” when you are feeling dehydrated or need a little boost of sugar.
This lovely little spritzer from Chef Marie Hanson is the perfect refresher, elegant enough to sip on at any party. The ginger-infused simple syrup is easy to make and to store; you can include any other flavors that you like (lemongrass comes to mind, as do lime leaves and orange peel).
Simply combine the ingredients and enjoy over ice, preferably in a festive glass, garnishing with a lime wedge. If you desire even more ginger-y goodness, you can muddle in some fresh ginger, or add in some ginger ale.
